Best 30 Minute DVD Workout Around

August 22, 2016 | by Anne | 1 Minute Read

First, I want to say that I am not a Beachbody coach. The absolute best 30 minute workout I have ever done through DVDs is Insanity Max:30 with Shaun T. It is designed to maximize calorie burn and confuse the muscles and it works. It requires no weights, but does take a little bit of space. I consistently burn 300+ calories in 30 minutes. It is nonstop and you go until you max out (i.e. cannot do any more). It is incredibly difficult to get through the entire 30 minute program, but by the time you do the 60 days you are much fitter.

I have typically used this workout in conjunction with running too so I already get a second cardio component 4 days a week. Yes, that is 2 workouts a day on many days.

The other Beachbody workouts are also great. I have done P90X, P90X3, T-25 Focus, Insanity, 21 Day Fix Extreme, and Hammer & Chisel (not my favorite) and all of them work. Note that some of those workouts require weights or a chin-up bar so they are not all equipment free.

Regardless, as some of the guys on these DVDs say, the first step is hitting play. Once you get these routines going it is hard to argue with the results. I am in the best shape of my life and part of it is due to these great workouts.
