Legoland Orlando VIP Tickets
The first question is whether or not Legoland VIP Tickets are worth it. To us, the answer is an unequivocal YES! What does VIP get you? Well first, you get your own pack mule/guide. They are terrific. They carry everything and guide you wherever you want. When you arrive, they already have a plan in mind for when to see shows, eat lunch etc.
Second, they let our son open the park. That meant that he flipped the switch to open the gates and let everyone in. That was terrific. At the very start they also get you a digital card for all of the pictures (and at the end of the day they give you a thumb drive with all of the pictures on there).
So now, it is early and you want some coffee? Just follow the guide. All snacks, drinks and lunch are free (and if you want them to carry extra water or Gatorade, just ask). Then off to rides. Well technically, the exit of rides because you walk up and get right on. Do you want to ride in the front? Great, person that was next, sorry you have to wait while this VIP child gets your place. It was awesome. Note, in my opinion Legoland does not have the same type of throughput as Disney World so lines in my mind there would be very frustrating.
Legoland also has tradeable minifigures and one other nice piece is that the guide takes you to one of the stores to create 3 of your own minifigs to trade (so you did not have to bring your own). We were also looking for a certain character in the minifigures packs and the folks at the store found one and waived us down later to get it to us. That was a nice extra touch.
Do you know how you have to take pictures at various rides and then they have expensive packages that you can buy. Well with the VIP package, one thing you get is all the pictures, but also some of the little perks. Both of our kids got driver’s licenses at the little driving ride. Ride over, here’s your license (instead of having the kids beg for an overpriced piece of plastic).
Ever wonder how they make all of those massive Lego statutes, etc. Well part of the VIP package lets you go to where the Master Builders build. They show you all of the parts and then you get to actually build a Lego kit with the Master Builder. That was great too and not something everyone gets.
Now to one of the shows. There was a pirate’s ski show. The show itself was very neat, but you get wet. Never fear though, the guide has brought us ponchos to put over us. Then as the bad pirates have to be defeated the heroin needs to blow them up…with the help of our son. What a great experience to be part of the show.
Now we are winding down for the day and are heading for the exit. Of course we go to the massive store and the guide says wait here, I’ll be back. He comes back with four bags (one for each of us) of Lego SWAG. It is good stuff. Multiple Lego sets, stuffed animals, beach towels and more. It was absolutely worth it.
I could not recommend the VIP Package more!
