Staying cool with WaterMonster

Keeping 100s of people cool and hydrated on a hot day is no easy task. Luckily, there is WaterMonster!

I recently co-chaired an outdoor school event, and it was a hot day! We wanted to provide cold water for the kids, but didn’t want a lot of wastage. We also didn’t want to over work the volunteers who would have to carry and fill up lots of coolers, not to mention the huge stacks of water bottles in the recycling bins. I had heard of a company called WaterMonster, which is owned and operated by a local Austinite. In a nutshell, it is a water delivery service that delivers ice cold water in a huge tank right to your school event. What an easy solution!

Here’s how it works. The large tank can hold up to 125 gallons of water which equals 1,000 plastic water bottles. The tank has 8 separate nozzles acting as refilling stations so people can refill their own water cup or reusable bottle. The company setups, fills-up, and removes all the equipment when your event is over. It’s also great because you can have them set the tank up anywhere since the tank is not tied to a water source. Super easy and zero waste! The cost is roughly $250 per tank plus delivery cost (ours totaled $300). You can also purchase the tank and use it over and over for future events.
